About Me
Hi, I’m Dyan, the heart behind Bijou Charm Bar - a place where creativity, connection, and meaningful moments come together.
For years, I worked alongside my dad at his trucking, parts, and repair shop. It was more than a job - it was a chapter built on hard work, family values, and lessons that shaped the person I am today. When he passed, everything changed. Losing him made me look at my life differently and reminded me just how short and precious time really is.
I stayed in the trucking and aggregate industry for another five years, doing what I knew and carrying forward what he taught me. But in July of 2023, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident that shifted everything again. During my recovery, I started doing permanent jewelry as a way to work on my fine motor skills - something that unexpectedly became therapy, comfort, and a creative outlet all at once.
I wanted to be more present for my daughters, to build something that made me feel alive, and to create a future that honored my dad’s strength and resilience. That’s when I finally took the leap and poured my heart into the dream I’d been carrying for years.
Bijou Charm Bar was born from that leap - built on storytelling, memory-making, and the belief that jewelry should feel personal. What started as a simple idea has grown into a fully interactive charm studio where you can create pieces full of meaning: permanent jewelry, custom charm bracelets and necklaces, bag charms, shoe charms, hat bar designs, dog-collar charms, beaded bracelets, and so much more.
Every charm you choose represents something about you - a memory, a milestone, a moment you want to hold close. Being able to help you create those pieces is truly the best part of what I do.
Today, Bijou has become a space for families, best friends, little ones getting their first earrings, pet parents, couples, and women supporting women. It’s a place filled with joy, creativity, and heartfelt stories - including my own.
